Episode Synopsis
Returning to Paris with Mireille, Kirika slowly begins to settle in to her new life in the City of Lights. Following the murder of a prominent officer in the French National Polices Counter-Terrorism unit by terrorists, Mireille receives an assassination request, which she accepts with Kirika under the designation of Noir. Their assignment is to take out the terrorist leader of the People's Armed Alliance, as well as the Director of Frances National Public Peace Department. The two men have been sharing compromising information with each other about their respective groups operations, and this does not sit well with the rival faction within the terrorist organization.
After scoping out their targets, and finalizing their plan of attack, Kirika and Mireille undertake final preparations for their first joint assignment. Meanwhile, the two conspirators meet after leaning of the plot against their lives, and are stunned to learn that the legendary Noir is now gunning for them. Having not been active since the 1970s, does Noirs notorious reputation in the underworld possess a deeper meaning than Kirika and Mireille realize?

Notes
- What's up with Mireille's shooting style?
- Notice how Mireille holds her gun sometimes. The creators of Noir have said that there's no specific inspiration for how Mireille holds her gun other than the fact that it looks cool. This is very remincence of how American gangs sterotypically hold their guns, and is also used in a lot of movies, such as those by Tarentino or John Woo.
- Tell us a little more about Cressoy...
- Head of the leading faction of a terrorist organization called the "People's Armed Alliance". He had a reptilian appearance and the sharp performance was excellent, but he ends up firing all the bullets in his Desert Eagle and winds up easy prey for Mireille.
- How did Kotono Mitsuishi get cast as Mireille in the Japanese version?
- Producer Shigeru Kitayama said that using Kotono Mitsuishi as Mireille was a continuation of their working relationship from Excel Saga, however, the first thing she was told is that Mireille is a completely opposate character than Excel.
- What did the Producers have in mind when they were coming up with the characters for Noir?
- Producer Shigeru Kitayama said that while Kirika's image should be sweet and fragile, Mireille's image should be that of a lithe female panther. Befitting, no?
